Toruk Acrobatic Apparatus

For Cirque du Soleil’s touring production of Toruk, a show from the world of Avatar, AMC fabricated a spinning acrobatic apparatus designed to resemble the spine of a deceased beast from the planet Pandora. As many as five performers balanced and executed acrobatic stunts on the skeleton, shaped and welded from aluminum tubes, as the platform rotated in a circular motion and teetered up and down with their shifting weight.
